Nutricion Up 65: Nutritional Strategies Facing an Older Demographic

The study Nutrition UP 65 aims to reduce nutritional inequalities in the Portuguese elderly population. This project aims to improve knowledge about nutritional status, specifically about malnutrition, obesity, sarcopenia, vitamin D and hydration of the Portuguese elderly. In this study a representative sample of older Portuguese adults was selected. Sociodemographic, lifestyle, anthropometric, functional, and clinical data were collected. Sodium excretion, hydration, and vitamin D statuses were assessed.
